The Vancouver Canucks entered game five of the Stanley Cup finals knotted at two games apiece with the Bruins of Boston. A victory would put them just one win away from sipping champagne from the Cup. Defeat and it's back to the unfriendly confines of Boston's home ice trailing by a game. The last two games showed Boston to be anything but genial hosts.
Like any good fan of the Canucks, hard-bodied Chantelle Alessio knew what had to happen: The twins had to fight through the coverage of the previous games if Vancouver hoped to stave off defeat. She knew that the twins had to get out in the open.
Chantelle attended game five in her official Canucks t-shirt. For three periods, the twins bounced around Rogers Arena seemingly unfettered. They worked their magic like only twins can do.
Although they didn't score, the twins certainly played a major role in helping the Canucks eke out a 1-0 victory over the Bruins, putting the hometown boys within a win of hockey's holy grail.
As Chantelle said in her photo caption, "Hope the TWINS kill it out there tonight!"
Perhaps the twins distracted the Bruins. Whatever the reason, we have no doubt that Chantelle played a huge role in this pivotal game five victory.
At this crucial juncture of the season, does anyone doubt the value of the twins?
Can any real hockey fan honestly say he doesn't enjoy watching the twins in action?
It's obvious that the Canucks need Chantelle and the twins if they hope to clinch this series. Besides, who else can make a Canucks t-shirt look so good?
One small question remains that perhaps only Chantelle can answer: Which one is Henrik and which one is Daniel?
