Kelly Kerr's Killer Quads

Kelly Kerr definitely brought some winning legs to her first competition, FAME West 2011. It paid off as she walked away with first-place in the Muscle Model and Figure categories.

The 5-2, 110-pound, first-time competitor has a lifetime of athletic involvement behind her, including 16 years of soccer. Add to the mix baseball, track and field, volleyball and tennis; top off with intense weight training and dieting; and you have a winning package for the physique stage.

Fans will have the opportunity to see Kelly in action as she plans to compete in The Pacific Rim Championships, August 5-7, 2011, in Vancouver, BC.

FAME West 2011

FAME West took place in Maple Ridge on March 26, 2011. This event marked Kevin Friesen's first time flying solo as a promoter and he delivered big time. Thanks to Kevin and a great staff, the event started on time and ran smoothly from start to finish.

Of course, none of that would matter too much without some quality talent on stage and this show definitely came through.

One of the highlights was first-time competitor Kelly Kerr. Seeing Kelly on stage, it was hard to believe she didn't have a couple of competitions under her belt. Not only was she dialed in with her physique, but she displayed strong stage presence as well.

The judges thought as much, rewarding her with first in Figure and first in Muscle Model categories. An auspicious foray for Kelly into the world of physique competition.

The 25-year-old boasts an impressive athletic background, having played soccer for 16 years as well as baseball, track and field, volleyball and tennis. This would explain Kelly's more than impressive legs.

Upcoming for FAME look for The Pacific Rim Championships, August 5-7, 2011, in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The promoters told us that this will be one of their most ambitious events to date. If you're in Vancouver at that time, make sure you check out this show.

Special thanks to Kevin Friesen and his great staff for their hospitality and to our friend David at TwixPix for inviting us to FAME West.
